WDAE celebrated the ignition of XXX aero engine on 8th March, 2018. The director general of airworthiness department of CAAC Xu Chaoqun, secretary of the party committee of airworthiness department of CAAC Ma Tao and the investigator of airworthiness department of CAAC Liu Xiaojie took part in the ceremony. The leaders from government also paid high attention. Secretary of the political and law commission of Wuhu Wang Huadong, the major of Wuhu County, the deputy county major Wang Zhenbin, the director of Wuhu aviation industry zone Li Xiaonian attended the ceremony. As the customer, the Chairman of CETC Wuhu Diamond Aircraft Ping Lihao and Wang Feng from Wuhu Airport Industrial Investment Development Co., Ltd attended the ceremony.
Following the coordination letter’s submitting to airworthiness department of CAAC, the success of ignition stood for the big step forward for WDAE. Mr. Xu Chaoqun gave high evaluation to WDAE’s XXX project and made a comprehensive guidance to WDAE’s following work. He expressed that the airworthiness department of CAAC will cooperate with WDAE to accelerate the process of TC obtaining in order to occupy the market. Mr. Ping Lihao said that the XXX aero engine will be tested on Wuhu Diamond aircraft to test its High altitude characteristics. Other guests gave many precious suggestions in different aspects.
This XXX aero engine is WDAE’s Jet fuel compression ignition aviation piston engine with full intellectual property rights. The core components are offered by the supplier in China. The obtaining work of TC is of milestone meaning in China’s general aviation history. It will completely break the technological monopoly of western advanced technology countries and hopefully become the first Jet fuel compression ignition aviation piston engine with TC.
